Boudin Ball 2012

It's no secret that we're Louisiana lovin' folks. This time of year is known as Carnival Season. aka Mardi Gras.  Which leads up to Fat Tuesday, and then Ash Wednesday.  This time of year is packed with Mardi Gras Balls in Louisiana.  Complete with parades, maids, and Kings and Queens.  Dallas has a small Mardi Gras Krewe that's made up mostly of LSU alums or former Louisiana natives.  :)  They host a Mardi Gras ball (called Boudin Ball) every year in Dallas and we were able to go this year after a 2 year hiatus.

Hubs and I were able to leave the bambinos with my mom for the night of the ball, so we decided to make a mini staycation for the night.  We rented a hotel room downtown, had a nice Valentine's dinner at Dakota's Steakhouse downtown and then headed to the ball with some friends.  We had a fun time and it was nice to have a night away from home.
